Quite simply, UH.265 reduces the size of video. What does this mean for end users? LESS STORAGE, better network utilization (more cameras on your network), better and more affordable requirements on network cabling, and up to 1000 ft PER CAMERA (as opposed to standard 300ft).
These cameras are superior options to almost anything on the market and if you’re fixated on brands like AXIS you won’t be limited to 2MP’s and catch-phrases like “product-longevity.” Yes, installing AXIS cameras is sometimes pleasant, but that’s a difficult sale to end-users for the monster budget required when you’re installing cameras with ancient chip-technology.
