ALARM ASSOCIATIONS AND ARLENCO PARTICIPATION? ABSOLUTELY. We’ve been actively engaged in local (and sometimes NON-local) Alarm Associations in the various states we have a presence in. We believe very strongly in what these associations stand for.
Most are represented by very qualified professionals who we are privileged to participate in commerce with.
Recently, we had the privilege of presenting at the Utah Alarm Association’s monthly false alarm reduction breakfast where alarm dealers meet with local police to ascertain best practices with regards to reducing false alarms. We have to say the results from this task force are compelling. False alarm reduction from the time the association started practicing false alarm education (and certification) compared to today has been monumental.
As of right now, we’re co-sponsoring and presenting at Events in Utah, monthly up until July, and we plan on participating in the Northwest Fire & Security Expo held in Oregon (May 29th).
We feel that our industry is one of the more noble industries out there. It’s about life-safety, and not many others can say that.
Our experience is generally that non-security/fire professionals don’t want to become professionals in their industries; they want to be professionals in their own respective industries. So, why not promote better practices and better technology to keep what’s most important at the forefront of our lives, human safety.
